About DSPII Waypoint
DSPII Waypoint exists so that a veteran leaving the service doesn't have to build their own support system out of a dozen disconnected agencies. We bring benefits counseling, housing, behavioral health, employment, education, legal aid and financial coaching together in one place, coordinated by a case manager who knows your situation.
We're staffed by people who served, or whose families served. That's deliberate.
Everything we do is free for the veteran.

Mission Statement
The goal of Discovering Soldiers' Potential II and the Sanctuary Project is to help eradicate veteran homelessness and provide a continuum of care for those who have faithfully served and protected this great nation.
Vision Statement
Waypoints are sanctuary centers for veterans designed to provide an integrated continuum of care that emphasizes access, quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and compassion. Services are centered on service members, veterans, and their families. Principles of resilience, prevention, and recovery are emphasized.

How we started
DSPII was founded in 2015 by Sandra Brownlee, a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant, after she stopped for a veteran asking for food on the side of a Georgia interstate. What she found wasn't one man in trouble. It was a pattern — veterans who had earned support and had no idea how to reach it, in parts of the state where the nearest VA facility was hours away.
Most people who serve come from rural communities. Most veteran services get built in cities. DSPII Waypoint was built to close that gap, starting in Griffin and expanding to LaGrange in 2024.
